hiiii! it’s been a while since i’ve last spoken to you guys. i hope everyone’s doing well and have been taking care of themselves a lot better than i have lol.

i’ve been gone for a really long time, a lot longer than i expected to be (wdym it’s been a year ?!?!), and so firstly, i want to say thank you to those who’ve been sticking it out w me for this long and are patient enough to wait for the final updates to warrior unit ♡ (and even to those who are impatient bc that’s valid too lol).

now i know what you guys are thinking: “it’s been a year and you haven’t even posted one chapter? why?” well, to be honest with you guys, i don’t have any other reason besides depression, being burnt out, and overthinking lol.

the finale game plan had always been four chapters — but the more i worked on them, the more i realized none of the ideas i was thinking about in my head would be simply resolved in just four chapters unless i crammed those chapters full of words (ch. 50 being like 30k words lol) but it would make a single chapter really hard to get through, hence me having to split them all up into parts and eventually having more chapters than i planned.

so, i was working on multiple chapters simultaneously — and in the span of a year, i’ve rewritten those chapters maybe a hundred or so times. each draft never seemed to satisfy me enough to want to publish. i would sit and reread the finished work a dozen times until i nitpicked literally every single sentence, got tired of reading it, and scrapped the entire chapter because i felt like it wasn’t good enough for you guys to read anymore.

i wanted the finale of warrior unit to be perfect, not just for me, but especially for you guys. i wanted everyone to feel satisfied with the ending, but i think i’m learning the hard way that it’s nearly impossible to write with everyone’s expectations in mind; you’ll stress yourself out to no end haha.

at some point, i thought about just leaving warrior unit as it is, hence why my carrd disappeared from my bio. it had gotten to the point where i was experiencing severe writers block anytime i tried to work on it because i was so stressed about finishing it. but i just recently sat down and reread warrior unit from the very beginning — then i thought about the unfinished books i’ve read before that still haunts me to this day — and i refuse to be #that author. anything is better than nothing.

so, i’ll be posting chapter 50, and all of its parts, as soon as i can. for updates about the others, check my carrd (now returned to my bio). i’m trying to make it a habit to post writing updates there just to show you guys that i’m still working on these chapters almost every single day !!

once again, thank you for being so patient w me and i’m sorry that it’s taken this long. i’ll make it up to you guys.
